About Turn the Tide: Vote Yes!
Turn the Tide: Vote Yes! is a municipal ballot question committee formed to organize support for the passage of a Proposition 2 1/2 override which has been recommended by the Ipswich School Committee in the amount of $1.491 million for the FY 2009 school budget.

Hundreds of volunteers have come forward to be a part of Turn the Tide: Vote Yes!  We are:
·         parents with children in our schools, parents with
      grown children;
·         men and women with no children;
·         business owners;
·         current students and recent graduates of Ipswich High
      School;
·         senior citizens and grandparents;
·         educators and Choice parents;
·         renters, homeowners and summer residents.

We are Ipswich.

Our mandate is straightforward: to solve a community crisis. The current structural deficit in our school budget will result in unacceptable cutting of teachers, libraries, programs and services.  We can Turn the Tide as a community at Town Meeting on May 13  by approving that a Prop 2 1/2 override be sent to the ballot for a May 20 vote by Ipswich citizens.
