Turn the Tide: Vote Yes! for the Ipswich Schools Override

Today we have Turned the Tide for our schools and community by passing this override which will provide stabilization and restoration of teachers, services, programs, libraries, books, our school safety officer and all important clubs and activities.

Our dream at the start of this campaign was not only to achieve a Yes vote, but to also end up with a more unified community behind our schools. You have all tirelessly contributed your time and energy while sacrificing time with families, attending sporting events, and the countless other responsibilities these last 10 weeks.

It has been an amazing display of a community in action as you involved and educated all of your neighbors, friends, and the town of Ipswich.

This override will allow our school system to stabilize financially and focus 100% on the business of teaching all children. A more united community will afford our schools the opportunity to flourish and be a model of success within the state.

We are grateful for your commitment to make this happen.

We Voted Yes!:

To keep good teachers and provide students with books, materials, technology, and libraries.
To support schools that have delivered high performance at a low cost.
To invest in our schools now before they suffer a decline in quality that will be difficult and costly to reverse.
To stop the cycle of decline before it costs upwards of a million dollars in lost revenue from students leaving the system.
To vote for a supplemental budget that costs each person a fraction of what it will cost in lost property values if we do not vote for it.
To retain our community’s vitality and attractiveness to new businesses and home buyers.
To preserve the deep community pride that makes Ipswich special.
